Slitter Rewinders for Film

ATLAS has now installed more than 170 primary film slitters worldwide exceeding 6 metres in width. This includes the widest machines at 10 metres and the fastest at 1500 m/min.  ATLAS can also provide the largest variety of standard options on machine specifications, to meet specific production requirements Primary slitters are used to slit parent rolls from plastic film production lines which are usually between 4 and 10 metres wide. They may be smaller when the film is 'split' on the film line and wound onto two or more winders.

The wide range of standard options available to all customers increases the probability of providing an optimised machine specification for any particular requirement.

ATLAS primary film slitters offer a choice of unwind loading systems, machine speeds up to 1500 m/min for some substrates, rewind diameters up to 1300 mm, film widths up to 10 metres, rewinding with adjustment by manual, semi automatic or fully automatic systems, electrical power by DC or AC motors, edge trim disposal by on-machine of off-machine spooling and finished roll unloading, conveying and handling systems, all integrated with the slitting machine. Recent developments include automated new rewind core loading and delivery systems.
