Pioneer Packaging trusts BOBST once again with FFG 8.20 DISCOVERY Flexo Folder Gluer

Pioneer installed its first BOBST FFG 8.20 DISCOVERY machine at the end of 2018, the first inline Flexo Folder Gluer in Eastern India. Due to the machine’s performance and prompt service support from the local BOBST team in India, Pioneer ordered a second FFG 8.20 DISCOVERY machine in 2020, installed in 2021. With 2 inline BOBST 8.20 FFG machines along with automation and state of the art conveying systems, Pioneer Packaging has a converting capacity of 60,000 MT/ annum. The company’s uncompromising quality and just-in-time delivery continues to impress Pioneer’s customers. 

The RSC (regular slotted container) boxes produced on BOBST FFG 8.20 DISCOVERY are as per global standards, and performs on auto-erecting lines without difficulties, which the company considers as a big advantage in meeting the expectations of their customers.  Production capacity of the rapidly growing company was approximately 30 million sq.m in 2019, 43 million sq.m in 2020 and 50 million sq.m in 2021 and they are aiming for higher in 2022.

The Pioneer Packaging team evaluated the machine manufacturing companies when the need arose to grow their converting line and equip it with more capabilities. “We evaluated a few machines from the far east and more. We also had a look at the BOBST machines at 2-3 locations until we were convinced that a BOBST machine was the one which could adequately resolve our production shortcomings. We did not think of any other machine than the BOBST DISCOVERY 8.20.” said, Mr. Ram Gopal.

In addition to its second BOBST DISCOVERY 8.20 FFG machine, Pioneer Packaging also has a BOBST Eterna flatbed die-cutter at its Kolkata plant.
