At BOBST, understanding our impact is the first step toward meaningful change. BOBST's materiality assessment ensures our sustainability efforts focus where they matter most: across operations, equipment, and the entire packaging lifecycle.
By aligning with global standards and listening to stakeholders, we drive targeted actions that create real value for the industry and the planet.
Prioritizing our actions
Every decision impacts the future. To remain resilient and forward-thinking, BOBST focuses on the sustainability topics that matter most.
In 2020, we performed our first impact materiality assessment based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, evaluating how our activities affect people and the environment.
In 2024, we expanded our approach by conducting a double materiality assessment aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). This assessment provides a broader perspective, examining:
- How our activities affect the environment and society (impact materiality)
- How sustainability factors influence financial performance and long-term resilience (financial materiality)
