Print industry tees up record support at ninth annual BOBST charity golf day

BOBST UK & Ireland has once again brought the print industry together for its annual charity golf day, raising £8,000 for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Benevolent Fund.

The ninth edition of the event took place on 25 June 2026 at Redditch Golf Club, with 22 teams from across the industry taking to the fairways in support of the volunteer-run organisation, which provides holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for injured members of the armed forces. Since its inception, the annual contest has now raised over £116,000 in total for the charity.

Neil Jones, Region Services Director & GM at BOBST, said: "Year after year, this event proves what a remarkable industry we work in. What started as a small gathering has grown into one of the highlights of the print calendar, a day where competition and camaraderie combine for a genuinely important cause.

“The continued commitment of our customers, partners and sponsors makes all the difference, and I couldn't be more grateful to everyone who came out to support it, especially on a day as hot as this one. The fact that so many people showed up, gave their all and stayed in great spirits throughout says everything about the character of the people in this industry."

The winning team on the day was Arden Dies, with MM Packaging taking silver and Close Brothers bronze respectively.

Brian (George) Dent MBE, Operations Manager at DMRC Benevolent Fund, said: "The support BOBST and the wider print community have shown us over more than a decade is extraordinary. Every year, the generosity of this group has a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of injured service personnel at DMRC Stanford Hall, and we are deeply grateful for it."

BOBST will continue to support DMRC Benevolent Fund as its dedicated charity of choice throughout the year. Details of the 2027 golf day will be announced in due course. Those interested in playing or supporting future events should contact Wendy Perks at wendy.perks@bobst.com.
