Apart from parameters like transfer volume of the anilox rolls, anilox-to-plate adjustment, and ink formulation, the viscosity of the ink is key to obtaining the right color and intensity. Adjusting the viscosity of the inks for a new job using conventional procedures and tools is a time consuming manual job. This is why BOBST has developed the viscoWIZARD, a tool that helps you to reduce set-up time whilst at the same time minimizing operating errors.

Being an explosion-proof handheld device, the viscoWIZARD can be used in the area where the operator usually performs the adjustment of the viscosity and that is where the ink buckets are placed and connected to the inking and wash-up system.

Thanks to the intuitive user interface, the operator can quickly access all the menus he needs for measuring and controlling the viscosity and for sending data to the machine.
