The plate mounter

smartGPS is delivered with the BOBST plate mounter that ensures the highest level of accuracy.

• The job parameters of register and impression settings are sent to the RFID chip of each sleeve for their respective print jobs
• These parameter data are also synchronized with the Job Recipe Management system which is integrated in BOBST Connect for a simpler and more user-friendly management of the tools
• BOBST Connect digitally communicates the imported job parameters from the mounter to the printing press via cloud enabling the print cylinders to find their register and impression settings automatically in each print deck simultaneously

The systematization and standardization of the printing process enables significant increases of press uptime and output quality.

Elimination of defects at plate mounting stage

• At plate mounting, the operator can identify other faults, like the formation of bubbles under the plate
• Quality checks can also be performed by scanning and documenting the converter’s printing tools, like sleeves, adapters and anilox rollers, to detect any damage and track their life cycle
